This project was part of Slice Accelerate, a high impact marketing program designed to help local shops grow. As part of the program, Antonio’s Pizza received some financial backing which helped fund marketing services including digital advertising, direct mail, social content, SEO, and branding. On average, participating shops doubled their sales in 12 months.

The owners really respected and appreciated our design expertise and were so excited by the work and while the previous owner may have become less involved in later years, the new owner was energized and ready to invest in the future. It was essential that this shift in leadership was reflected visually through a clear, impactful change that customers would notice.

Elevated a hidden gem into a hero we created an illustration of the shop’s building, a unique but previously underused brand asset, giving the pizzeria an instantly recognizable visual anchor. By tying the building illustration to menus, signage, their digital presence, everywhere they appear – customers now associate the brand with a distinct, local landmark rather than just a generic logo.

Achieved brand consistency across touchpoints applied a simplified, standardized system of type, color, and illustration that works equally well on menus, packaging, and digital channels.

Improved legibility and usability the refreshed elements hold up at small sizes (social media, digital ads) and at distance (storefront, posters), making the brand more effective in practice.

Positioned the pizzeria as a true local landmark blending its reputation (Giant 24" pizza, corner-town location) with the illustrated identity reinforced its role as a neighborhood favorite.

Collaborative and energizing partnership the owners were incredibly enthusiastic, respected my design expertise, and brought genuine excitement to the process, which made shaping their shop’s branding a true creative collaboration.
